Comrades Marathon ran in South Africa for the 94th time on Sunday, June 9. Alexandra Morozova from Russia came in second after the supreme South African Gerda Steyn. Last year Alexandra Morozova won Ultravasan 90 and it's now been decided – Morozova will be back in Dalarna this summer to defend her Ultravasan 90 win on August 17.
A record number of participants came to the start of the fifth Ultravasan, which ran under ideal conditions yesterday: 1,042 runners took off from Sälen at 05:00 to run 90 km while 802 runners started in Oxberg at 07:00 to run 45 km. Fritjof Fagerlund, Sweden, and Alexandra Morozova, Russia, are the winners of Ultravasan 90 2018. Swedish David Nilsson and Lisa Ring won Ultravasan 45.
