The Vasaloppet year 2026 was the strongest since before the pandemic. A total of 89,916 participants registered for Vasaloppet’s skiing, cycling and running races; the highest figure since 2019. The year also brought several historic milestones.
Vasaloppsåret 2026 blev det starkaste sedan före pandemin. Totalt anmälde sig 89 916 deltagare till Vasaloppets skid-, cykel- och löplopp vilket är den högsta siffran sedan 2019. Året bjöd dessutom på flera historiska milstolpar: den tvåmiljonte målgången i Vasaloppets historia samt ett rekordstort antal deltagare som genomförde Vasaloppstrippeln.
For the third consecutive year, Vasaloppet is reporting a record number of participants completing Vasaloppstrippeln. Female participation in Vasaloppstrippeln 90 has also increased by more than 30 percent compared with the previous year.

Ultravasan 90 2026 ran under warm conditions, and last year’s winners Olle Meijer and Dominika Stelmach both brought impressive performances and defended their titles.

The summer events in the Vasaloppet Arena wrap up on Friday, August 14 and Saturday, August 15. A record number of participants, over 7,600, ranging from elite athletes to recreational runners, are registered for the five individual races and the Vasastafetten relay. Participants represent all 21 Swedish counties and 33 nations.
